Our community currently operates two monthly three-hour Repair Cafés in Haringey community centres at weekends. We're looking for someone to help us attract more volunteers so we can open two more. This is very much a hands-on role, largely home-based with some weekend work in Community Centres in Haringey.
Part Time 15.7 hours per week @ £15.70 per hour. Pro rata holiday entitlement.
Your most important responsibility: develop our community of members, volunteers and repairers.
Communications: currently print, Facebook and Harringayonline.com
Helping advance the repair and reuse plans our community have decided to adopt.
Managing and developing communities
Strong written and oral communication
Strong management, collaboration and partnership building
Good negotiating, influencing and conflict resolution

There is a two month probationary period. We have funding for a year.
We'll let you know if you've made the shortlist within three days after the call for CVs finishes. We will then interview each member of the shortlist separately, first by Zoom, then in person at a mutually convenient time. Each candidate will be asked the same pre-prepared questions by a three-person interview panel, one of whom will be the Chair of Trustees. After everyone has been interviewed, we'll let you know the outcome within three days.
