Field Day was fun despite the rainy day! Thanks to all who helped! The children had so much fun!!
Transportation Week was a blast! Hot air balloons, boats, trains and airplanes were a big hit with the friends! We also got special animal balloons and tattoos from Jelly Beans Balloons.

It's been a fun week talking about PURPLE and fairy tales (The Three Little Pigs, Henny Penny, and The Little Red Hen.)Â We enjoyed the beautiful weather finally!Â
We had a fun week talking about bunnies, pigs, cows, and birds! The children pretended to milk a cow with our pretend cow. They painted bunnies and pretended to feed the birds. It was a fun week.
It was a "colorful" week talking about Joseph's colorful coat that his daddy gave him, because he loved him so much. The children painted flowers, made rainbows, watched skittles turn into rainbows, and made new colors by mixing paint! Then they had fun playing with pasta and beans in their sensory bins. We had a fun week talking about our community helpers. The children pretended to deliver the colored mail to the right mailbox. We had a visit from a dentist who showed us how to brush our teeth. He had a giant red toothbrush with him! We painted with toothbrushes and ended the week wearing purple for pancreatic cancer. We are continually praying for Mr. Trent and his recovery.
It's been a fun week! We learned about some famous African Americans. We painted like Alma Thomas with bright colors. They loved the water colors. We played basketball like Michael Jordan. We used shakers, scarves and tambourines when we listened to Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Michael Jackson music. We made a stoplight and talked about what the colors mean after learning about Garrett Morgan who invented the yellow light to make the 3 color stoplight. We played red light, yellow light, green light! And we enjoyed a snow day too! What a week!Â
We talked about how Jesus made the sick boy well this week. The children enjoyed playing doctor with our baby dolls and each other! We had a visit from a "comfort dog" "Job." He was very gentle. We made hearts for the bulletin board. They tried lacing some blocks on pipe cleaners and did very well. Finally they enjoyed stacking pegs. Some stacked them very high! Have a great weekend!
This week we dressed up like we were 100 years old for the 100th day of school. We also had a pajama, character and spirit day! We talked about the arctic animals and how they stay warm. We tried to see how blubber works! Thank you God for providing exactly what we need! We talked about Zacchaeus becoming Jesus's friend. Thank you Jesus that you are our friend!
We loved the SNOW! After we read The Snowy Day, the children made a snow picture using shaving cream and glue with their hands. "Miss" Kelsey brought white balloons for recess time. The children loved them! After reading a book about Martin Luther King Jr., the children took turns working together to build a block tower. Then they knocked it down together. They also worked on a picture of the earth using blue and green crayons. Afterwards, we traced their hands to put on it. We talked about how Dr. King wanted us to be kind to each other and work together to solve problems.
What a busy week with our Christmas program and party! What fun! Don't we look cute in our pajamas! We had fun playing with Christmas bows scooping them from one container to another. Merry Christmas!
We had a fun week talking about baby Jesus and a Santa Claus visit. Of course we had to dress up a little and take pictures! We've been practicing for our Christmas program on the big stage!
It was a fun week decorating our tree and classroom. We learned about the true Christmas story and how Jesus came to the earth as a baby. We have been practicing for our Christmas program. We will sing "Jingle Bells." See if you can get them to sing it with you this weekend!Â
We learned about the first Thanksgiving. We shared with friends and are thankful for family, friends, homes, clothing and food. Happy Thanksgiving!

We love teddy bears!! It was a fun week! We also painted and got our door and our bulletin board ready for thanksgiving.

We had a fun week pretending to harvest some vegetables. The children loved the part where they washed the dirt off of them in the water! We made spiders and had oreo cookies with pretzels to make spider cookies. We made jack-o-lanterns and shape monsters. We loved our sensory bins with rice, beans, pumpkins, eyeballs, spiders and little tin cans. We opened our pumpkin to look for seeds and feel the pulp. Some liked it and some did not!
Thank you God for the beautiful weather we've had this week! We appreciate your support for our Purple Out for Mr. Trent. Please keep him in your prayers. We talked about opposites and specifically BIG and little. They enjoyed playing with big and little pom poms in their sensory bins. If you notice some of their big and little toys at home this weekend, ask them which one is big and little.Â
What a FUN week! We concluded our Five Senses study by using our feet to feel soft, rough, bumpy, and smooth textures. We had a taste test to try sweet, salty, spicy, sour and bitter foods. What funny faces they had!! The Fire truck came for a visit!Â
We had a fun dress up week for Homecoming! Go Lions!!! We talked about our sense of smell, sight and hearing. Next week we will talk about our sense of touch and taste!
We enjoyed Blue and Pajama day! Unfortunately the rain left the playground too wet this week! We enjoyed playing inside and taking our stuffed animals for a walk! Thank you God for making all the animals!
Thank you God for making pretty trees, flowers and plants. It has been a fun week pretending to plant flowers, feeling of the leaves on the trees and bushes, and watching the artificial leaves fall in our classroom! We have painted every day this week! Thank you God for your beautiful creations!

Field Day was sooo much FUN!!! Yay! Thank you to the parents who could come. It takes a "Village!"
We had a fun week celebrating the Earth! We planted flowers. We make bird feeders out of empty containers. We flew a kite or tried to! The children had an earth snack on Friday - chocolate pudding with gummy worms! yum!! We learned how Joshua obeyed God so that the BIG wall around Jericho fell down when the people did as God told them to. We talked about obeying God, our moms and dads, and our teachers. Thank you God for our beautiful Earth!Â

We had a fun week talking about how a paralyzed man's friends helped him to see Jesus so He could heal his legs. The children enjoyed some nursery rhymes this week such as Humpty Dumpty, Jack and the Beanstalk, Jack and Jill and Hickory Dickory Dock.
We had fun making muffins and playing with purple playdoh! The blueberry muffins were delicious!

It's been a fun dress up week! We've been playing with the toy doctor kit to check out our baby dolls. Our Bible story was about Jesus healing the sick boy. We are thankful that God can make us well. We have also been talking about our emotions such as happy, sad, surprised, mad, scared and shy. They used little mirrors to practice their faces, but especially their silly faces!!!

We had lots of fun at the Pumpkin Patch today! Picking out pumpkins, petting zoo, photos and games as well as donut holes to dip in chocolate with leaf sprinkles! Yum! Thank you to our extra special Room Moms for all their help and organization!
We had a fun week getting to go back to the playground! We concluded our 5 Senses study with our sense of sight and hearing. We went for a walk in the Bible garden to "see" the leaves, bushes, trees, and rocks. The children loved "seeing" bubbles and trying to pop them! We used magnifying glasses to look at things around our room. We watched a science experiment where orange jello, baking soda and vinegar rose to the top of the pitcher and over with bubbles! The children painted orange on paper and we cut them out to be pumpkins on our classroom bulletin board. We "listened" while we shook an empty container with bells, paint and paper as we created spider webs for the season. We will add the spiders later and decorate our room with them. We had a fun week Touching and Tasting as part of our Five Senses study. The children tasted mini m&ms for sweet, pretzels for salty, lemons for sour, and dark chocolate for bitter flavors. They enjoyed getting to take off their shoes to walk on different textures as well such as pom poms, sandpaper, aluminum foil, bubble wrap and sponges. Then we made vegetable soup to taste. Yum! Yum!
We had a great week talking about how we use our noses to smell! Spices, lemons, oranges, flowers, shaving cream, and scented rice are just some of the things we got to smell this week. We enjoyed celebrating the color BLUE by making a cookie monster face and hugging our classroom stuffed Cookie Monster! The nice weather gave us opportunities to play on the playground. It's been a fun Homecoming Dress Up week as well as learning that God created all the animals. The firefighters came for a visit and let us get inside their truck - if we wanted to! We enjoyed the beautiful fall weather too! Have a great weekend!
Thank you God for the trees, flowers and plants! It was a fun week! We painted flowers and planted flower seeds to watch grow! We went on a walk through the bible garden and saw roses, plants and trees. The children loved feeling of the different kinds of leaves. Then we threw plastic leaves in the air to pretend it was fall. It was so much fun! We enjoyed popsicles for having a great Parents' Club membership participation! Have a great weekend and enjoy some cooler (less hot) weather.
Thank you God for making water! We loved to play in it and paint with it. We pretended to rescue the fish using big spoons! It was a fun week!
We talked about the color RED this week and played with play doh. We are thankful that God made sand, dirt and rocks. On Friday they pretended to play in the mud and put brown paint on the pigs! They pretended to plant flowers and ate dirt (oreos crumbled up) for snack!
We loved talking about the moon and the stars that God made for night time. We found stars hidden in our black beans sensory buckets. The children painted moons with cotton balls and clothes pins. We pretended to camp out under the night sky by using our pretend tent (blanket). Elmo came for a visit. Some of our friends loved him, but more were a little frightened! :) Have a great weekend!
We had a great first week talking about how God made the sun and the clouds. They painted a sun and stuck cotton balls on contact paper to make a cloud. They enjoyed playing with cotton balls and feeling how soft it was. The children loved wearing their sunglasses to protect their eyes from the sun on our pretend picnic!
