Flight Around the World Contest
To commemorate the first flight around the world, undertaken in 1924 by the US Army Air Service, two students and a staff/faculty member will receive the opportunity of a lifetime - a series of flights around the world, paid for by the Clifton L. Ganus, Jr Distinguished Chair of History and Political Science.
Rules
Teams will be comprised of two students of the same gender.
A faculty/staff member of the same gender will be selected separately
Eligible students must not be on academic or non-academic warning or probation.
Due to delays in passport processing, eligible students must already have a passport that is valid through Sep. 2024.
Airfare, transportation, and lodging will be covered, as will one checked bag per participant. Food will be at the participants' expense.Â
After ascertaining that applicants meet the requirements, the final participants will be selected by a random draw.
Contest will close Oct. 12, 2023.
The contest is now closed. The drawing for the winner will be Oct. 19 at the Jeremy Kinney presentation.
