Hello!  My name is Katrina Johnson and I am one of the counselors here at NHHS.  I am in my 18th year of education, and all 18 have been at North Hardin. 

 I am married to Micah and we have 3 children, Jennings, Kennedy, and Asher as well as 2 dogs.  I spend most of my time away from NH with my kids watching them do what they love to include dance, soccer, baseball, and basketball. We love to travel to the beach, Disney, and to visit MLB stadiums.

Hello all!  My name is Michelle Russell, and I am one of the freshmen/sophomore counselors here at NHHS.  I am in my 24th year of education, and all my years have been at North Hardin.  I spent most of my first decade at NHHS teaching freshman English and coaching cross country with my husband.  In college, I used to help all my friends sign up for classes and map out their course of study.  So, it wasn't a surprise that I became a guidance counselor.

I live in Vine Grove with my husband, son, daughter, and two dogs.  As is the case for most working moms, I don't have much free time.  I spend as much time as I can with family and friends, and I try to travel some every year.  I also try to exercise regularly because it's a great stress reliever for me.   I really enjoy listening to students talk about goals and concerns and guiding them when I can.

Hi there! My name is Jamie Cheatwood and I am excited to be one of the junior/senior counselors here at my alma mater, North Hardin High School! I have a loving husband and two awesome and crazy girls that take up most of my time. When I do have some "me" time I love to bake, drink copious amounts of iced coffee and watch New Girl and Gilmore Girls on repeat. 

I am a Career and Technical Education advocate and my goal is to make sure each student has a plan for what comes next after high school. I taught in the Culinary Arts pathway and Early Childhood Education pathway throughout my teaching career. I am here to be a listening ear for all aspects of life!

Hello! I am excited to return home to North Hardin High School as a School Counselor after spending the last five years serving students and families at our feeder school, North Middle School. Prior to my time there, I proudly taught math at North Hardin for three years and served as the girls' basketball coach for six years. This school and community hold a special place in my heart, and I’m honored to support our students' academic, social, and emotional growth. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive environment where every student feels empowered to reach their full potential!
