Dear Families,
Our 2nd-5th Grade students have access to the Accelerated Reader (AR) program. AR is a county-wide reading program which encourages and motivates students to read books at school and home and earn points by taking computerized comprehension tests at school. Books in our school library have a level, point value, and quiz number. This information is printed inside the front cover of every AR book. Student have been tested to determine their Lexile Level and results are shown on their iReady reading report. AR tests may only be taken at school.
Not every book is in the AR system. When choosing books from home or the public library, please check online at arbookfind.com to determine if the book is in the AR system. Your child will not be able to take tests for books which are not in the system.
