The East Hardin Middle School Band Program has a rich tradition of excellence in music education and performance. EHMS Bands consistently earns Distinguished ratings at the Kentucky Music Educators Association Large Ensemble Assessment. Individual EHMS musicians are regularly selected to perform in honor ensembles including the KMEA District 4 All-District Band and the KMEA Middle School All-State Band.

As of the 2026–2027 school year, approximately 180 students participate in the EHMS Band Program through music performance and pageantry arts, representing nearly 24% of the East Hardin Middle School student population.

The East Hardin Band Program offers a wide variety of musical opportunities including Advanced Band, Intermediate Brass & Percussion, Intermediate Woodwinds, Beginner Brass & Percussion, Beginner Woodwinds, chamber ensembles, solo performance opportunities, private lessons, group lessons, Bruin Band Council, and select high school participation opportunities.

The East Hardin Middle School Band Program proudly serves as a feeder program for Central Hardin High School.

The EHMS Band Program has been under the direction of Mrs. Vanessa Lee since August 2019.
