The East Hardin Middle School Band Program has a rich history of tradition and excellence. EHMS Bands are frequently given Distinguished and/or Proficient ratings at the Kentucky Music Educators Association Large Ensemble Assessment Event. Many individual EHMS Band musicians are selected to perform in honorary ensembles such as KMEA District 4's All-District and Kentucky Band Organization's All-State. The EHMS Band is an active student organization with approximately 180 middle school students participating in music and pageantry arts as of the 2024-2025 school year. Therefore, approximately 24% of the student population of East Hardin Middle School actively participates in band.  

The East Hardin Band offers 8th grade band, 7th grade brass & percussion, 7th grade woodwinds, 6th grade brass & percussion, 6th grade woodwinds, percussion ensemble, chamber ensembles, solo opportunities, private lessons, group lessons, as well as high school participation to select students.

The East Hardin Middle School Band Program feeds into Central Hardin High School of Cecilia, KY.

Central Hardin High School Marching Band is a former class 3A state champion, an 8 time BOA Regional Finalist, a two time BOA Grand-National Semi-Finalist, and 2021 KMEA State Finalist. The CHHS Wind Ensemble and Percussion Ensembles have performed at the KMEA State Conference.  The CHHS Winter Guard has medaled multiple times in Tri-State Competition and is a Tri-State class champion as well as a WGI Regional Finalist and WGI Championships Semi-Finalist.

East Hardin Middle School Band has been under the direction of Mrs. Vanessa Lee since August of 2019.
