My Disney Experience / Tickets
Available both online (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/my-disney-experience/) and as an App for your phone.
Each individual traveler must create their own account - please NEVER input someone else's ticket information into your Disney Experience account!
You will use My Disney Experience to hold your ticket information, create a "Friends & Family" group of fellow trip-goers, and to schedule your must-visit dining experiences and any optional My Genie+ or Lightning Lanes!
Ticket Numbers: All travelers will receive their ticket information once we arrive in Florida. Each ticket will have various park(s) assigned to it each day. YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE PARK ASSIGNED TO YOUR TICKETS - if you do, this changes the park for EVERYONE in our group.
Please login in and create your account ASAP!
Bus & Packing Information
We will be taking 2 charter buses (seating signups will be in the CH Band Room - MS students attending can pass their requests along through a HS student). One bus will contain all of our uniforms, instruments, and other necessities for our Disney performance. The other bus will hold all our luggage, so it is imperative that you take the smallest bag possible.
No open liquid containers are allowed on the bus; only those with a twistable lid are permitted. The buses will have plugs for charging electronics, if needed.
You are allowed the following bags on this trip:
1 carryon bag (should be soft and approximately backpack-sized)
1 medium-sized suitcase
Ladies may bring a purse/handbag
Carryon Bag
This bag will need to be re-loaded at various times throughout the trip:
Initial Items: anything needed for the trip down
Beach Day (Day 2): any items needed for our day on the beach
Parade Day (Day 3): any items needed for your performance
Final Day: anything needed after our final day in the parks to have on the ride home (we will be boarding the bus immediately after leaving the parks)
Do Not Bring
Anything that could possibly be considered a weapon
Including but not limited to: pocket knives, nail files, selfie sticks, etc.
Bags will be searched when entering the parks each day and these items will be confiscated and not returned.
Please ensure that you have all uniform items necessary to participate in our parade performance (compression items, black socks, etc.)! Do not store your shoes in your uniform bag. We will have a separate space for storing shoes.
Before leaving for our trip, our school SRO will be there with a dog to do a quick luggage check.
Behavior & Dress Code
This is a school trip - NOT a family vacation!
There will be certain rules and regulations for the various events and experiences planned on our trip. These will be communicated each day, dependent upon our itinerary for the day. However, our traditional expectations for student behavior and excellence in all areas will be enforced throughout the trip.
Anyone found in violation of trip rules and expectations runs the risk of being sent home early.
As far as dress is concerned, we realize that some events (beach day, etc.) will require students to be out of dress code; however, please attempt to follow the CH Student Dress Code Policy as closely as possible throughout our trip.
We will wear our Disney Trip T-Shirts on our Magic Kingdom day! For beach day, females can wear a one-piece or modest two-piece; anyone wearing an inappropriate swimsuit will not be allowed on the beach. Don't risk it!
Chaperones & Student Groups
All chaperones should complete background checks through Hardin County Schools as soon as possible. We will need many chaperones throughout our trip to fulfill various roles:
Head Chaperone - one per bus; will be responsible for taking roll at any and all stops
Hotel Room Monitors/In-Park Chaperones - one adult per 2 student rooms; may partner groups in the park if desired
Loading Crew - two to four adults (responsible for loading and unloading items)
This crew will be separated by responsibility: Uniforms/Hats, Equipment, Luggage
All parade gear (uniforms/hats and equipment) will be on bus 1; luggage on bus 2.
Parade Crew - 4-5 adults total; 2-3 male, 2 female (no younger siblings allowed backstage)
Parade Videographer - at least one adult (so those at home can watch too)
Important information for chaperones:
Upon arrival our first night at the hotel, chaperones will corral their assigned students in the parking lot, see our travel consultant one group at a time to receive room keys, then escort students to their rooms. It will be 'lights out' fairly quickly on our first night.
While students are unloading the buses, our Loading Crew of parents will work to unload all luggage from bus 2. Students should grab their luggage as they exit the bus and then find their chaperone.
Chaperones with check in with our travel consultant at breakfast each day to get meal passes for their group(s) of students.
Throughout the day in the park, student groups are to check in with their chaperone via "photo check-ins" at specific times each day.
These photos should be on time, include all students in the group, and be in front of a "park landmark" so the chaperone can ensure students are where they should be.
Once receiving your group's photo check-in, chaperones will then touch base with Mr. Ervin via text to let him know that their group is accounted for.
At the end of each day, all travelers will meet back at the predetermined checkpoint for that park. Students should find their chaperones during this time.
Meal & Money Information
Most meals will be provided on this trip as a part of our Disney Package through At-Ease Travel. With their park tickets each day, students will also receive a meal card they can use throughout the day. Each daily card will be funded with $20 per meal, which never expires, and can be used at a variety of Disney food locations. Should students spend their balance, they will need to fund the remaining balance individually.
Additional Spending Money
Students will also need to bring their own money for various items throughout the trip. The following items are NOT included in our trip cost, so please plan to bring additional money for these items:
2 Meals (lunch and dinner) on our way down to Disney
Any rest stops on the way to and from Disney
Our final meal (breakfast) on the return trip from Disney
Any souvenir items, etc.
Students with Medication
Students with medications should have listed those on the Disney Contact and Medical Form. All medications will remain with the student and be self-administered throughout the trip.
