Message from Miss Emson

Well, we have reached the end of the first half of the spring term.  The children and staff have worked exceptionally hard and are ready for a week to recoup and enjoy some quality time with family and friends.

Our new reading books have been a complete hit with the children and there has been a real buzz of excitement this week.  Long may it continue.

After half term we are relaunching our class dojo as another way of communicating with you and will share how we will be using it to its potential.

Have a happy half term and we look forward to seeing you on Monday 20th February 2023.

Parking outside the school

At the beginning and end of the day a number of cars and vans stop on the yellow lines in front of the school. This puts our pupils at risk and is against the law. We ask that parents stop parking in front of the school on the yellow lines.

The local road safety team will be conducting unannounced visits to school at the beginning and end of the day, in the near future, and will be issuing fines to cars that they see stopping on the zig zag yellow lines.

On line Safety

Please monitor your child's online activity.  We have had an incident of our Year 6 pupils using social media. and sending inappropriate messages to each other. Misuse of social media causes great harm to children and we are constantly talking to our pupils about online safety. Social media like Snap chat and What's app are set with an age restrictions. Snap chat should only be used by over 13s.  Children  under 13 should not be using these apps.

Whilst earrings (studs) can be worn to school, it is important that they are removed on PE days.  If your child can remove them on their own, this can be done at school, however, children cannot wear earrings or any other jewelry for PE.  Adults cannot remove them for the children.  If your child cannot take them out independently, we ask that they are not worn on PE days.

Please speak to the school office if you are having difficulty affording school uniform.
