Returning DE Students Who KNOW What to Take

This page is for WEST GEORGIA TECHNICAL COLLEGE dual enrollment students who are CERTAIN they already know what classes to take.  You don't need advisement.  So we're going to try to let you register without having to come in for an appointment.  If you are a UWG student, go back and click the correct statement.  SENIORS - make sure you read the final note at the bottom of the page.

There is a lot to read here, but it is likely more convenient than having to come in for an appointment.

To submit your course requests for SPRING 2027, you have TWO OPTIONS:

Option A

Make sure you have completed GAFutures for the 2026-2027 school year AND that you have signed this year's code of conduct.   If not, it is posted on the classroom in the section labeled "2026/2027 School Year."  And then . . .

1.  Email Coach Clayton.  

•  In the SUBJECT LINE, put the word: REGISTRATION.  That will let me filter my emails for registration requests.

• In the email, make sure to tell me

  • • YOUR NAME

• • • LIST THE COLLEGE CLASSES YOUR INTERESTED IN.  I need the code letters and the numbers.  ex.  ENGL 1101 or HIST 1111, etc.  

• • • If you have any HIGH SCHOOL classes that you must have during a specific block, tell me that as well.  For example, if you are in the band and need Band Class 4th block, tell me that.  If you need weight lifting in zero period, tell me.  If you do WBL in the afternoon, tell me.

So your email might look something like this:

Coach Clayton,

My name is ________________.  For the Spring semester, I would like to request: 

-MATH 1111 

-ENGL 1102.  (I would like the ONLINE English class.  Not the one we have on our campus.)  

I am also in theater and need the 3rd block advanced theater high school class.

If you have basic questions about classes, feel free to ask in the email as well.  

2.  I will email you back when I submit your course requests.

• If you don't hear back from me in a day or two, email me again, or stop by and talk to me.  

Option B

1. Make sure you have completed GAFutures for the 2026-2027 school year AND that you have signed this year's code of conduct.   If not, it is posted on the classroom in the section labeled "2026/2027 School Year."

2. Pick up a paper course request form for SPRING 2027.  They can be found in the AV Lab, the attendance office, the main office, or the media center.  READ THE FORM.  

3. Fill out BOTH SIDES of the form.  

You do not have to fill in something for every block on the back side of the form.  It's okay to leave blanks if you don't know what goes there.  

4.  Turn the form in.  You should hand it to me, or if I'm not in my room, there will be a plastic container on the table just inside my door.  You can leave it there if you like.  I suggest that you email me saying, "I left my registration form in the container."  I'll email you back to verify that I got it.  

5.  Keep Checking Your Email

I will look at your transcripts and course requests, and I'll email you a confirmation.  If you don't get it, contact me.

SENIORS -- You need to make absolutely sure that you are on track to graduate.  Meet with your counselors and be positive that you have or are taking everything you need to take to graduate.  In the end, if you're missing something, the consequences will fall on you.
