FAQ

Does the popcorn chicken come with the sauce on the side?
Yes! All of our sauces come on the side so you can mix and match to your heart’s content!

What is the Togarishi?
Togarishi is a Japanese blend of spices including ginger and ground nori that we make in house!

Do you have any gluten free options?
Yes! We have a lot of options based on what your intolerance is. If you are Celiac, we can do a fried rice or a pancit with gluten free soy sauce. You would be able to have the chicken or mushroom options. If you only have an intolerance and can handle a shared fryer, there are a few more options available. We have a gluten free popcorn chicken option. It is made with rice flour, but is fried in the same fryer as our regular popcorn chicken—so you would have to be sure that you could handle a shared fryer. The bangus and crispy pork belly are both gluten free but fried in the fryer. The poke bowl sauces all have soy sauce, but is gluten free otherwise. If you can handle regular soy sauce, the BBQ skewers and short ribs are great options as well. They are both grilled and served with rice. We also have stir fried veggies available as a side. They are steamed and cooked on the flat top.

Do you have a To-go menu?
No, we do not. Our menu changes periodically, so old menus become obsolete. We do have a QR code card that takes you straight to our online Square ordering, which is always kept up to date.

What is atsara?
Atsara is pickled green papaya, bell peppers, and garlic. It’s spicy, but sweet!

Do you have free refills on your unsweetened ice tea?
Yes! We do offer unlimited refills on the unsweetened ice tea if there is no flavor shot added.

What is boba?
Our popping boba are delightful little balls of flavor! The flavor you choose when you order is the flavor of the actual boba. All our popping boba comes in our house made passion tea lemonade, made with black tea. Our tapioca is cooked fresh every morning. Made from tapioca flour, it is chewy. It comes in the Ube, Milk tea, Thai tea, Coffee, and Cookies and Cream drinks.

Do you sell alcohol?
No. We do not sell alcoholic beverages at this time.

Do you cater?
It depends. Since our kitchen is very small and we are lacking in cold storage space, we require at least a week’s notice before even considering a catering request. If your request is accepted, we only offer lumpia, BBQ skewers, and pancit (limitations). All catering orders must be put in through phone or in person and confirmed through management.

Do you have different sizes of drinks?
No. We only have 16 oz cups for our boba and non boba drinks. Exceptions for hot seasonal drinks.

Can I get a side of the fried rice or pancit?
No. Our fried rice and pancit are priced for entree sizes. We do have a small side of garlic fried rice available.

Do you do substitutions?
No. Our menu items have been meticulously priced out for the ingredients they contain.

Do you deliver?
No. We offer carryout
and dine-in only

History of Dishes & Fun Tidbits

Popcorn Chicken
According to the USDA, in 2020 the average American ate 97 lbs of chicken a year.

Ramen
Our ramen noodles are fresh, not freeze dried!

Ginger Garlic Short Ribs
Chef Andrew Zimmerman inspired the marinade for this dish.

Crispy Chicken Tacos
This dish is a mix of southern style fried chicken and Asian fusion. The atsara adds just the right amount of sweetness to offset the spice from the sriracha ranch.

Originally KB3,
now B2 Tacos
Marlon really wanted bao buns on the menu and this is how I decided to accommodate him!

Pancit
Pancit is a symbol of long life! It’s normally served at birthdays and other celebrations. It’s believed that eating the noodles on your birthday will ensure you have a long life as long as you don’t cut them!

Fried Rice
Rice to meet you! Fried rice is one of our most popular dishes!

Pork BBQ skewers
When I was a kid, my mom made these on my and my sister’s birthdays. We called them, “meat on a stick.”
Single BBQ Skewer
Sometimes you just want one
...or 6!

Pork Adobo
Adobo is the unofficial national dish of the Philippines! The pork shoulder is cooked in soy sauce and vinegar and is SO TENDER. It is absolutely one of my favorite dishes of all time. If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it might be pork adobo.

Chicken Sisig
Filipinos eat a lot of pork—personally, I eat a lot of pork. I felt like I wanted to do Sisig, but with a twist. This chicken version is a lot lighter and a little more inclusive to people who don’t eat pork. Sisig is like the best lemon pepper you’ve ever had. Way more tart and peppery than your run-of-the-mill lemon pepper.

Pinoy Burrito
This dish started out as a special and wormed it’s way into the hearts of my customers. I just kind of threw things together that I had extra of and it ended up working really well. I think I might have a riot on my hands if I ever decided to take it off the menu.

Crispy Pork Belly
I LOVE pork belly. This is my easier version of Lechon Kawali.

Bangus
The unofficial fish of the Philippines. This dish is as traditional as they come. Baby milkfish is marinated and fried, served with rice, atsara, and suka—a mixture of soy sauce, vinegar, onions, and garlic.

Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl
I love poke. I wanted a fresh fish option similar to what I would order at Poke restaurant.

Lumpia
Our lumpia is hand-rolled in house. The origins of lumpia are Chinese in nature with Chinese sea merchants bringing egg rolls to the islands as early as the 7th century.

Garlic Fried Rice
If Filipinos had their way, we’d eat garlic fried rice with every meal.

White Rice
Rice is life.

Stir Fried Veggies
Because we had to have SOMETHING with veggies on the menu.

Atsara
(pronounced “at-cha-ra") Pickled green papaya, red peppers, carrots, and garlic. This stuff is like crack. I put it on everything at home. Don’t worry if you don’t like spice—it's not spicy at all!

Halo-Halo
The unofficial dessert of the Philippines. There are a lot of different combinations of ingredients, but two things are the same—evaporated milk and shaved iced. We recommend adding on ice cream!

Sweet Potato Fries
My Sysco rep gave me the idea of doing sweet potato fries with a marshmallow dip, and it just seemed natural to add ube flavor to it!

Ice Cream
We make all our ice cream in house using only a handful of ingredients.

Bursting Boba
Bubble bubble toil and trouble! Bursting bubbles of flavor are my most popular menu item!

Tapioca Boba
Forget diamonds—pearls are a girl’s best friend! Tapioca pearls are cooked fresh EVERY morning!

Calamansi Shake-Up
Calamansi are Filipino limes and we use them in lieu of lemons in our shake-ups!

Coffee Cloud
I’m a huge fan of cold foam and it really made sense to pair it with ube and coffee! This drink also does not feature boba so it’s great for people who are looking for a boba-free option!

Cookies and Cream
Our marshmallow topping is soooo good that I had to feature it in a drink and a cookies and cream boba was the perfect vessel for it!

Orange Float
What could be better on a hot summer day than orange pop, boba, and ice cream?

Lesley’s Lemonade
My husband’s cousin told me about a drink that she had, and I knew that I had to recreate it at Lola’s! It was so good that I put it on the menu and named it after her!

Matcha Monster
A former employee had made this as her shift drink one day and it was super refreshing and a great way to utilize matcha in a way that was approachable for the everyday person! So, onto the menu it went!

Sauce Tidbits

K-sauce
My favorite music group is BTS and they have a web show called Run BTS. They had a cooking episode once and I totally stole the recipe for this sauce from Jin. I’ve tweaked it a little to make it my own, but essentially, this is his recipe!

Tsismis
Pronounced “chis-mis” it translates to “Gossip” in Tagalog. Gossip is usually hot, and this sauce is a great representation of it’s namesake.

Bang Bang
Creamy and spicy with the spice coming from Sriracha. Bang bang is a super popular sauce option!

Chilimansi
A sweet and spicy option featuring calamansi—Filipino limes—and Korean chili flakes.

Sweet Chili
My most popular sauce option! Not your mother’s sweet chili, I’ve tweaked this recipe multiple times over the years. We also serve it with our hand-rolled lumpia.

Banana Ketchup
Doesn’t taste like bananas or ketchup! Sweet and tangy with a hint of heat.

White BBQ
Roll tide! This is a very traditional Alabama white BBQ sauce .

Miso Ranch
Super creamy and with a hint of sweetness from white miso. Just slightly elevated from your regular ranch sauce.

Spicy Vinegar
Traditional Datu Puti Filipino vinegar steeped with spicy peppers.
