Professor Junseok Park holds a B.S. (1991) in the Department of Architecture from Hanyang University, an M.S. (1994) in Architectural engineering (Building and Environment) from Hanyang University, and a Ph.D. (1998) in Informatics of Environment from Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan. After working in Yokohama National University (1998) and National Institute of Public Health (1999-2003), he joined the faculty of the Dept. of Architectural Engineering at Hanyang University in 2003.
His researches include indoor air quality and contamination control in buildings, control of ventilation systems based on predicting occupants’ behavior, and modeling and predicting thermal comfort in vehicles.
Prof. Park has received several awards from AIJ(Architecture Institute of Japan, 2003), JACA( Japan Air Cleaning Association, 2003), AIK (Architecture Institute of Korea, 2004, 2022), and governments (2008, 2013, 2022).
박준석 교수는 한양대학교 공과대학 건축학부, 동 대학교 대학원 건축공학과, 그리고 일본 동경공업대학(Tokyo Institute of Technology)에서 박사 학위를 취득하였다. 박사 학위 취득 후 일본 요코하마 국립대학, 일본 후생성 국립공중위생원(National institute of Public Health)에서 근무를 하였으며 2003년 한양대학교 공과대학 건축공학부에 교수로 부임하였다.
주된 연구 분야로서는 건축물에서의 실내 공기질 향상 방안과 오염원 제어 기술, 그리고 거주자 요구에 기반한 스마트 환기제어기술 등이 있으며 최근에는 건물 뿐 아니라 차량 등의 에너지성능 향상을 위한 인체생리모델 기반 온열환경 예측모델을 개발하고 있다.
박준석 교수는 일본건축학회(2003), 일본공기청정협회(2003), 대한건축학회 등으로부터 논문상과 학술상을 수상하였으며 그 외에도 환경부장(2008, 2013)과 국토부장관(2022) 상을 받았다.
