Preschool education is a crucial stage in a child's development providing a foundation for future learning and socialisation. Among many activities and strategies used in preschool, “Circle time” stands out as a vital component. Circle time is a structured group activities and teachers gather in a circle to engage in various activities such as sharing, singing, storytelling and discussions.

 The activities done in the pre primary section of Hanumant High school in the circle time helps the learner to develop different skills like socialization and communication, building a sense of communicating, language development, cognitive, emotional welding and much more.

Math activity on the topic of Understanding Tens and ones was conducted on 25th September, 2023 in Grade-1.

One important concept we have explored is the idea of “Tens” and : ones “. Tens and ones are a way to group and understand numbers. They help us break down large numbers into smaller parts, making it easier to work with them. Tens are groups of ten objects. Tens are the first part of a two-digit number. Ones are the single digits from 1 to 9. We can create two-digit numbers by combining tens and ones.

Understanding tens and ones helps us count, add and subtract numbers more easily. It is the foundation for working with bigger numbers in the future.

We have started our journey into the world of numbers, and understanding tens and ones is a fundamental step.

The activity related to parachute was conducted on 26th September in Grade-1.

The purpose of the parachute activity was to make mathematics engaging and fun for participants while helping them grasp the concepts of addition and subtraction in an interactive manner. This activity was conducted to improve teamwork, cooperation, communication, problem-solving skills physical activity, fun and engagement.

Participants displayed enthusiasm throughout the activity, which contributed to a positive learning environment. The activity required participants to think critically and use problem-solving skills to complete the mathematical challenges. Participants interacted with each other more effectively, forming new connections and friendships.

The parachute activity effectively achieved its purpose of making learning addition and subtraction more engaging and accessible to participants.

Kids love animals and birds. They are always happy to talk about them. And writing is one of the ways through which they can share their own thoughts and knowledge.

The activity was conducted in grade III A and B on 24th September 2023. Students had picked up the pictures of animals and birds of their own choice and written their observations that encouraged them to engage with nature and simultaneously enhances their learning abilities and writing skills.

The objectives behind this activity are to create awareness of poetry in the modern era, demonstrate ability to write a poem and open new windows for students to broaden their minds through poetry.
