7th & 8th Grade Rubrics

Below you will see the grading rubric for both the 7th and 8th grade classes. Each student will reflect and assess themselves at the end of each marking period. Each category is worth 20% of the over all grade. 7th and 8th grade students take a unit quiz to demonstrate their knowledge at the end of each marking period.

Here is an example of how the grading works.

If a student scored:

  • 4 on participation - 4 x 4 = 16
  • 5 on prepared - 5 x 4 = 20
  • 4 on skills - 4 x 4 = 16
  • 5 on knowledge - 5 x 4 = 20
  • 5 on class interaction - 5 x 4 = 20
      • Add all columns together = 92 out of 100 total points
          • 7th & 8th Grade will have two grades per marking period. Those two grades are then averaged together to get the marking period grade.
