Mrs. verhoeven's Class
Week 12
Week 12
I look forward to meeting with you all during our parent/teacher conferneces on Thursday and Friday! It is a wonderful opportunity for us to discuss your child and their gifts and strengths as well as any challenges they may face.
The students should spend time working on their book diorama projects that are due on November 16. We look forward to sharing these with each other! I reminded the students that the title and author of the book should be displayed somewhere on the outside of the box, along with a list of main characters, a statement describing the theme, and a paragraph explaining what is happening in the scene. Continue to work on your addition and subtraction facts! I am encouraging students to start memorizing the mutiplication facts as well to prevent them from relying on our charts or having to use repeated addition. This will really help them move forward with their math proficiency. Your help is greatly appreciated!
On Tuesday, October 27th, our school will be having a "Welcome Home Celebration" for Military families at 8 AM by the elementary courtyard. All families are invited to attend and students are encouraged to wear red, white and blue or patriotic clothing that day. Hope to see you there!
Due to cancelled library last week and no library next week, library books will be collected on Monday, especially those that have been (long)overdue. If a student wants to renew, they may.
Due to PT Conferences there will be no spelling words or memory verse this week!
Have a great week!
