Burden of Blame
Blame is a game of envy and biased chance. I asketh yond thee playeth this sport and outstretch death's crested finger on those who is't deserv't most.
(Blame is a game of hatred and biased chance. I ask that you play this game and point a fatal finger on who is most responsible for Juliet's death.)
WHAT TO DO ON YOUR ANSWER SHEET: On your answer sheet, under "Burden of Blame", fill in the pie chart with 4-5 selected characters from the suspect cards (Juliet, Romeo, Tybalt, Lord/Lady Capulet, Friar Lawrence, Prince Escalus, Nurse, Mercutio). Give each character the percentage of blame they have earned for Juliet's death. Together, they should equal 100%.
Once you are done with the pie chart, use your character with the highest percentage of blame and write down ONE quote from in the text that is the strongest quote to support he/she is to blame for Juliet's death. Explain how the quote connects with Juliet's death. See below for an example of how to create the pie graph.
