Here is a list of the following therapies that I use integratively in my practice.
Deep Tissue: Massage which reaches structures far beneath the superficial fascia to attempt to relieve chronic muscle problems or injuries.
**you may be asked to breathe while certain tension spots are being released, also drink plenty of water afterwards!!*
Connective Tissue (CTM): A form of massage that specifically manipulates the connective tissues (e.g., fascia, ligaments and tendons of the musculoskeletal system), with the aim of enhancing circulation and, by extension, healing. The technique consists of dragging motions with hooked fingers, which are believed to stimulate the trigger zones that refer pain to elsewhere in the body.
Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (NMT): Form of contemporary massage focused on the deactivating of myofascial trigger points.
Polarity Therapy (energy work): Form of bodywork that uses simple touch and gentle rocking movements with the intention to balance life energy and encourage relaxation.
Reflexology: Form of bodywork based on the theory of zone therapy, in which specific spots on the feet or hands are pressed to stimulate corresponding areas in other parts of the body.
Sports Massage: Western massage techniques that are used to encourage circulation, enhance athletic performance, prevent and rehabilitate injuries, prepare for and recover from competitions.
Craniosacral: Craniosacral therapy is a holistic healing practice that uses very light touching to balance the craniosacral system in the body, which includes the bones, nerves, fluids, and connective tissues of the cranium and spinal area
Reiki: Reiki is a form of therapy that uses simple hands-on, no-touch, and visualization techniques, with the goal of improving the flow of life energy in a person.
Stone Massage: Stone massage is a form of contemporary bodywork and spa treatment. Stones of various sizes and weight are used as massage tools for both thermal (heat) and cryotherapy (cold) instead or in conjunction with hands.
