About Me

My name is Tim Pahl.  I'm a 1988 graduate of Hancock High School and obtained my Bachelor of Science in Social Science/Education with a minor in Political Science from the University of Minnesota at Morris.  I started my career teaching Social Studies at Rockford High School.  I taught primarily middle school U.S. History and Geography at Rockford for 11 years.  I also coached basketball for 10 years while I was at Rockford.  I completed my Master's in Education, Educational Administration and Superintendent Licensure through Saint Mary's University.   In 2005, I accepted a position with the Annandale School District as the middle school Dean of Students.  In 2006, I accepted the K-12 Principal position at Upsala Area School.  Upsala is a district very similar to Hancock.  I truly enjoyed my time as the K-12 Principal there and had no intention of leaving, until the Hancock Principal position opened up in 2011.  This is my thirteenth year as the K-12 Principal in the Hancock District.  In addition to my administrative duties here at HHS, I also enjoy officiating junior high athletic events and high school varsity basketball.  I feel very fortunate and privileged to be given the opportunity to come back to my hometown and work in one of the strongest school districts in west central Minnesota.

My wife Mary and I have been married 30 years.  She is a first grade teacher at Hancock Public School.  We have two children, Tanner works as a loan officer at Ag Country and Tori is a junior at Moorhead State University.  She is majoring in Social Studies Secondary Education.  Our hobbies include watching Owl athletic and extracurricular activities, spending time with family and friends, and spending as much of our summers as possible at the lake tubing, skiing, and fishing.
