About the Teacher

Hi! My name is Ms. Ashley Lorentz and this is my ninth year teaching at Hancock Public School. I taught 5th grade my first two years, and the last few years I taught 4th grade. I previously student taught in a fourth grade classroom in Barnesville. I am originally from Verndale, Minnesota which is a small town like Hancock about two hours away. I graduated from Verndale in 2013 and then attended Minnesota State University Moorhead for my bachelors degree in Elementary Inclusive Education. I graduated from MSUM in May of 2017. I graduated in the spring of 2021 from MSU-Mankato with my Masters degree in Reading. In my free time I love spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to music, and being outdoors. I am excited for this school year and I can not wait to meet you and your family!
