State academic standards will determine appropriate lessons, themes, and curriculum throughout the year

First graders will interact daily with the Smartboard

Effectively Evaluate Student Performance and Use Evaluation Data to Drive Instruction and Improve Curriculum:
Fast Bridge help determine individual student needs in reading
Formative assessments (observations, exit tickets, class discussions, independent work, and student conferences) will be used to make daily instructional decisions.
I will analyze assessment data to differentiate instruction and provide targeted interventions and enrichment opportunities.
I will create and work with needs-based small groups in reading and math to help students master specific skills and meet individual learning goals.
I will create and work with needs based groups in both reading and math to target and master specific skills
I will collaborate with colleagues, intervention staff, and special education teachers to analyze student data and develop effective instructional plans.
I will actively participate in Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings to review student data, share instructional strategies, and collaborate on best practices.

Volunteers are welcome and encouraged to come into the classroom to lead centers once a week

Volunteers are welcome to help with different classroom parties (Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's Day)
Volunteers are encouraged to chaperone field trips
