I am Wanda Gatcomb. I have been a teacher for 24 years. I was a classroom teacher for 17 years at a small PreK-8th grade school of about 85 students. During that time I earned an endorsement in Gifted and Talented education. For the past 7 years, I have taught gifted and talented students at Hancock Grammar School, population about 200 students, in Hancock, Maine. For 6 of those 7 years I have worked 50% of my week as a math interventionist. My goal is to complete the Math Interventionist certificate and my Master's Degree at the University of Wisconsin- Stout through distance learning.
I live in Hancock with my husband and two children. My favorite animal is a lion, my favorite color is purple, and my favorite book is The Giver. What about you? Share yours with me in the form below!
