You protect your email and your phone with a password, but what are you doing to protect your mail? The Smart Mailbox will prevent anyone from trying to steal or tamper with your mail by alerting you when your mailbox has been opened. A tilt sensor will serve as the sensor that will detect when the mailbox is opened. When the sensor detects that the mailbox has been opened, it will send the information to the Arduino that will be connected through a series of wires. A beeper and LED will be connected to the Arduino from the inside of the house and will send a single pulse of noise and a continuous LED light, informing the consumer that the mailbox has been opened. The Smart Mailbox will keep your mail safe and sound!
