Culminating Events & Building Level Showcases

In Hampton City Schools, the Signature Experience at each grade level culminates in a meaningful event that allows students to reflect on and showcase their learning. These culminating experiences are especially significant in 5th, 8th, and 12th grades, which are considered capstone years, marking the transition out of elementary, middle, and high school, respectively.

Each of these capstone experiences is designed to:

• Celebrate student growth and achievement

• Highlight key skills such as communication, collaboration, and real-world problem solving

• Strengthen student identity and sense of purpose as they prepare for the next stage of their educational journey
