That's the beauty of EdCamp: as a participant, YOU will help build the sessions you're interested in attending. We'll create the schedule as a group and post it; you'll then be free to attend sessions as you please.
"Session" is almost a misnomer. They're really more like discussions with a group dedicated, talented educators around a topic that all the participants find interesting. Rather than the traditional conference-style one-way lecture, the facilitator of the session will ensure that poignant questions are asked and everyone has a chance to brainstorm and share their thoughts.
Nope. While there will be a registration desk with sign in, this is PD YOUR WAY. Come for an hour, stay the entire time--it's up to you what you want to get out of the EdCamp. Likewise, if you start in a session and realize it's really not for you, you can also excuse yourself politely and find another.
Well--you might! But you don't have to if that's not your cup of tea. Part of building the sessions as a group when we all arrive is seeing who is willing to facilitate. But remember, sessions don't need to have formal presentations. They can be about essential questions or topics where everyone brainstorms thoughts and responses.
Bring a potential question or discussion topic that you might want to share as part of a session. Bring your enthusiasm and a charged device (charging stations will be available).
Yes. Six license renewal points for the Professional Conference category will be awarded to all attendees.
