Protocols for Respiratory Viruses & COVID-19
UPDATED COVID GUIDELINES
The CDC has released new guidance relative to the Covid-19 virus. The full CDC Guidance can be found at: https://www.cdc.gov/respiratory-viruses/guidance/respiratory-virus-guidance.html. Recommendations now state that for persons ill with respiratory viruses such as COVID-19, influenza and RSV, staff and students should remain at home and away from others until symptoms have improved. Staff and students who are ill can return once fever-free for 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing medications and have symptom improvement. While testing for any of these viruses is an additional prevention strategy that you can choose to assist in making decisions to further protect yourself and others, this is not a requirement for return. Please contact the school health office or school administration with any questions or concerns.
