Check the ACLS/Hammonton Branch website for details on their summer reading program: Adventure Begins at Your Library. Join for a fun-filled summer with adventure themed events, entertainment, arts and crafts, and weekly drawings.

Ideas for Parents, Grandparents, Guardians, & Babysitters
1) Barnes and Noble: Children from 1st - 6th grade can earn a free book! Read any eight books and record them in their Summer Reading Journal. Bring it to a B&N and choose a free book. Redeemable 7/1 - 8/31.
2) BookIt! All parents with students in PreK-6th grade (ages 4-12) can enroll in Camp BOOK IT!, a reading program created to stop the summer slide. In June, July, and August, parents can use their digital tools to track and reward their kids' reading with a free one-topping Personal Pan Pizza®. Enroll here!
3) Home Base sponsored by Scholastic: From May 9th through September 12th, kids can visit the summer zone in Scholastic Home Base, a completely free digital destination which offers stories, characters, games, and a community of readers. Home Base is moderated for safety 24/7.

June is the time to recognize, celebrate, and drive awareness for the following themes:
- Juneteenth: Press Play on History: Juneteenth | Smithsonian Learning Lab - A learning activity for students age 13 and up in which they will analyze primary sources through close reading and create a playlist of songs depicting their interpretation of themes relevant to the historical experience of African Americans and Juneteenth.
- Pride Month: Stonewall National Monument | National Park Service - The Stonewall Uprising on June 28, 1969 marks a milestone in the LGBTQ civil rights movement. View a 15 part video series on the history of Stonewall, participate in the We Are Stonewall Arts Festival, and consider photographs around the monument that visually tell the story of the LGBTQ rights movement. Bring the Stonewall National Monument to your classroom through live virtual tours and interdisciplinary mini units for elementary, middle, and high school students!
