Thinking Routines: Helping Students Think More Deeply
We need to provide opportunities for our students to think more deeply. At the same time, we must teach our students how to think more deeply. Sometimes we give our students problem-based activities, but they don’t know how to enter the problem. As teachers, we can’t just “throw” them a higher DOK question or activity without showing them how to think through it. Using thinking routines is one way to do that. During this session we will explore ways to incorporate thinking routines into our lessons.
