Message from the Office of the University Chaplain

Many Hamline community members and their allies with family, friends, and connections to the Middle East continue to be impacted by war. As the Religious and Spiritual Life Staff, we are writing to acknowledge the voices of those in protest in front of Old Main on behalf of the Palestinian people, as well as the feelings of community members who may hold different perspectives.

In difficult times, many find comfort and strength in their spiritual and religious practices. To this end, Welsey Center's student-led organization, the Multi-Faith Alliance (MFA), is offering four weekly gatherings (flyer attached):

If you do not find your spiritual or religious tradition represented and would like to start a new weekly gathering for the Hamline campus community, please reach out to Chaplain Kelly.

We also wanted to let you know that the Wesley Center staff is a resource to all community members during this time.

Again, all are welcome during our office hours in the Wesley Center, a space of nourishment and care for one another.

If you have any questions, please reach out to any one of us.

With Love and Care,

University Chaplain Kelly Figueroa-Ray,
