Through the Mahle Lecture series, we explore and articulate contemporary forms of Christian Theology through the lens of Lived Theology. During our annual lecture series, we explore and articulate the thought and spiritual biographies of invited activists, scholars, and community and faith leaders who are actively working to transform society based, at least in part, on their spiritual and religious convictions. The fruit of each lecture series is an articulation of spiritual visions aimed at inspiring moral imagination and civil courage as we face stark inequalities and work together to take the lead in building a more just world.
Visit the Mahle Lecture series website to view lectures from past years.
Religious and Spiritual Life staff seeks to support all Hamline community members. Any student, staff, or faculty member who needs a confidential space to explore spiritual questions, process difficult or complex situations, or would just like a listening ear, can contact: Chaplain Kelly Figueroa-Ray or Rabbi Esther Adler.
The Hamline University Multi-Faith Baccalaureate serves to celebrate our Hamline graduates through diverse religious expression. We express gratitude for being a spiritually diverse student body. This annual event is for Hamline graduates and their friends and family as well as fellow students who want to honor the graduating seniors. The service takes place on Commencement Weekend.
The purpose of Wesley Center's reservable spaces, The Gathering Place and The Wellspring, is to provide spaces for Hamline community members (students, staff, and faculty) to pray, meditate, gather for spiritual and religious programming and rituals, and hold events or meetings for spirituality, service, and/or social justice.
