Medicaid Billing Remiders

• When you have two team members both responsible for a goal ALWAYS make sure it is the related service provider who is listed first.  If both are related service providers, make sure it's the one who has the most frequent direct service sessions who is listed first.  As a reminder, ONLY the first provider listed can bill for Medicaid.  If the goal is going to be worked on by the service provider and case manager, decide if the case manager even needs to be listed as one of the people responsible.  The case manager is working on and ultimately responsible for all goals in the IEP.  What would be the value added for having the case manager listed on this goal when only one provider needs to be listed?
