Jump Rope for heart

Jump Rope for Heart is an annual, week long event held in the Hess School gymnasium. Students pledge to participate by jumping rope or hula hooping in their PE class during Jump Rope for Heart week. This pledge acknowledges their support of the American Heart Association, which helps children with heart disease and other heart conditions.

Participation

All Hess students will participate in this event during their scheduled PE class. Whether or not a student donates funds, they still play a crucial role in helping American Red Cross by pledging to participate and raise awareness.

Ways to get donations

• Asking friends or family members

• Asking local or family owned businesses to donate

• Setting up and online account and posting to social media, to have relatives donate no matter where they live!

Why Donate

The reason we donate is to SAVE LIVES. Donations allow the American Heart Association provide treatment, procedures and care for those suffering from heart disease.

Depending on the level of individual funds raised, The American Heart Association shows appreciation for time and effort given by offering prizes! They also donate gift certificates for equipment for the Hess School PE program.

Whether students are motivated by to a friend or family member who may have suffered from heart disease or not, we remind our students of the main reason we participate in Jump Rope for Heart; to raise money, awareness, and offer hope to those who suffer from heart disease. Students learn to participate in a self-less cause.
