HCS Reads

The HCS Reads program is a collaboration between the HCS community and the PTO. It is designed to support families in reading together. Educational research supports the importance and benefits of reading aloud at home and in school. From March 1st to March 27th, we will all be reading the book Fenway and Hattie, by Victoria J.Coe. That's right...all of us! Parents, students, teachers, and staff members will be discussing this book together; chapter by chapter. Whether it be at school, in the classroom, or at home on the couch, we will all be following along as a big community. We look forward to reading all about an energetic and excitable Jack Russell terrier named Fenway and his best friend in the world, Hattie!

Please use your Fenway and Hattie bookmark to follow our reading schedule and read the corresponding chapters to your child every night!

Some chapters will be short and some will be a little longer, but be sure to follow along so we can react to the book together!

Happy Reading!
