HCS Capital Project 2020

As a result of the recent Empire State Development guidance, which designates all school-based construction as essential, our Capital Project can proceed as scheduled. The ESD guidance requires that work must be done in compliance with social distancing requirements and all appropriate cleaning and disinfecting in order to provide appropriate COVID-19 exposure control to protect the workers who will commence or continue to work on the Project. We have worked with our architects and construction manager to update their existing safety plans to incorporate the CDC and OSHA Guidelines regarding social distancing, cleaning and sanitizing of the work site.

The generosity of Hamilton voters has provided us with a $15.3 million project. In addition to the much‐needed replacement of our roof and HVAC systems, our project will include safety and security upgrades, electrical and plumbing upgrades, and select interior upgrades to our locker rooms, flooring, doors and windows, as well as a new exterior message center.
