Today is B-Day
Juniors - KCI Basketball Tournament is this week (Mon-Sat). Several of you are signed up to work Concession Stands. Please check Google Classroom, the bulletin boards in the HS commons or Ms Hensley's room to see when your shifts are. It is very important that everyone signed up shows up and is on time. Thanks, Ms. Hensley.
TODAY, Thursday, December 7th, come join the fun after school for fudge and sign making in Ms. Lasher room.
Sophmores - Jostens will be here December 13th at 11:30am until noon in the Commons with your class rings.
Semester schedule change forms are in Ms. Wattenbarger's office. If you want to change your schedule at semester, you need to see Ms. Wattenbarger before break!
Spring Musical Auditions for Annie will be held Thursday, December 14th from 3:45-6:00 pm in the Choir Room. Auditions are open to all High School and Middle School students! Come join us in creating a memory that will last a lifetime. Singers, dancers, actors and artists, show us your talent! Audition information can be found HERE. Questions? State Tech will be here January 18th at 10 a.m. in the high school commons to meet with any juniors interested in a technical field.
The College and Career Planning Night will be rescheduled. It is for juniors/ seniors/ parents or other interested parties. We will cover the FAFSA, applying for college, dual credit courses, A+, Scholarships, etc. Please RSVP to Ms. Wattenbarger at wattenbarger@hamilton.k12.mo.us.
After school workouts begin after Thanksgiving break. Speed and agility on Tuesdays and Thursdays, lifting on Mondays and Fridays.
Save the Date! 2nd Quarter Penney Punch will be Wednesday, Dec. 13th from 5:30 -7:30. More details to come.
The Junior Parent After Prom committee has some candy left over from our softball concession stands. Candy bars are $2.00 and Blow Pops are $.50. See Mrs. Kanoy.
Anyone who is or will be 18 years of age prior to the next election and is interested in registering to vote please contact Mr. Crawford.
NOTICES
Parents can now make online payments through the TeacherEase iOS and Android mobile apps. To access this feature iOS users must update the app, no update is required for Android. Once in the app, parents can navigate to More > Fees / Lunch Balance to view a summary of their account balances.
If you need a locker and have not been assigned one, please see Mrs. Schweder in the office.

Today is B-Day
There will be a Send Off TODAY, November 2nd for the Cross Country Team that has qualified for State. The Send Off will be at 11:50am. High School will line up in the West PHS hallway.
Girls Crossfit for non-winter athletes will be starting soon! There will be a meeting TODAY, Thursday, Nov. 2nd during 2nd lunch shift in the library. No need to bring your lunch, the meeting will only take a few minutes. See Miss Gundy or Mrs. Prothero if you can't attend.
WINTER GUARD
Winter Guard auditions are for any student in grades 9-12 that is interested in auditioning for the Penney High School Winter Guard for the 2023-24 season.
Winter Guard is a performance art form that combines elements of music, dance, equipment and precision. For members it develops both the athlete and the artist.
Penney High School will compete in the Mid-Continent Color Guard Association (MCCGA) in the Kansas City area.
Training sessions will be Nov. 13th and 14th from 5-8 with tryouts Nov. 15th from 5-8. No experience is necessary.
We will have a parent's meeting Nov. 13th at 7:00. Please sign up in the office.

NHS seniors: Follow the link to apply for the NHS scholarship application. Deadline is November 30, 2023. See Mrs. Kanoy if you have any questions.

College Visits:
MWSU October 31 in the library at 11 a.m.
The ASVAB will be given to ALL juniors (and seniors who missed last year) on Oct 26th. This will take place in the morning in the OLD gym.
