Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome to the new school year and the exciting world of Middle School Field Hockey! We are thrilled to have your child join our club team and look forward to a season filled with learning, growth, and fun.
Field hockey is a wonderful sport that not only promotes physical fitness, but also teaches valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Our program is designed to cater to all skill levels, from beginners who are just learning the game to experienced players looking to refine their skills.
We are committed to providing a positive and supportive environment where all players can thrive. We will focus on developing fundamental skills, understanding the rules of the game, and fostering a love for the sport.
Practices will be held after school on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3-4 p.m. on the following dates
September:18, 19, 24, 25, 26
October: 1, 2, 3,8,10,15,16, 17, 22 and 23
Since we are running it as a club team this year we will only be an intramural sport (we will focus on learning the game as we scrimmage amongst ourselves). We encourage all players to attend every practice, as teamwork and consistency are keys to success.
With the understanding that safety is a top priority all participants will need a current physical on file. I have included the physical forms to be completed and returned ASAP so we are ready to go on the 18th of September. All players will need to purchase a mouth guard, shin guards and cleats are optional. The school will provide sticks and balls for the girls to borrow. If you wish to purchase a stick, please see me for suggestions. Rest assured, we will be following all recommended guidelines to ensure the health and safety of the players.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. We are here to support you and your child in this exciting journey.
Thank you for your support and commitment to our field hockey program. We can't wait to get started!
