Endless Possibilities in Creativity and Collaboration

Mission Statement: Providing students with rigorous, project-based learning opportunities as they seek to become creative, collaborative problem-solvers.

An E.P.i.C.C. classroom incorporates collaboration (with peers and interdisciplinary connections), creativity, project-based learning, and student-driven curriculum. These ideals ensure the E.P.i.C.C. program offers a richer experience for students compared to students participating in the general curriculum.

Students will focus on their areas of interest in their Freshmen Directed Studies course. They will work on problem-solving and group-building activities! They'll also explore their own learning styles and learn more about themselves.

What is project-based learning?

While "normal" school projects are usually completed after students have been taught the materials (as a form of assessment), Project Based Learning allows the project to be the "vehicle" for teaching the important knowledge and skills students need to learn.

Below, you'll see the standards for project-based learning (for projects and teaching practices).
