Unit 1 Kickoff

Students had a blast working on teamwork skills at our Unit 1 Kickoff.  Our theme was You Can Count on Me.  Students played games, decorated cookie cakes, and watched a movie all connected with this central idea.  Thank you, DVA family, for making this possible!

Virtual Field Trip

Students used Google Earth and Oculus 3D to go on virtual field trips to different locations in Africa last week.  Here are some photos and video clips.  :)  On the videos, if you look at the iPad, you can see what the VR headset sees.

Field Trip Volunteers Needed
JA Finance Park (September 27)

We will be going on a Field Trip to Junior Achievement Finance Park on September 27th.  Permission forms will be sent out closer to the date, but I wanted to let you know that we are looking for volunteers to help!  

** Volunteers will simply need to ‘Create an Account’ through the registration link and will automatically be added for their specific date upon completing the waiver in the system. Information on parking, coffee, day-of training, and lunch are included in the registration information.

**DVA will be going on September 27, but South Hall will also go on September 28 - 29.  If you are interested in volunteering multiple days, they would welcome volunteers.  Email Ms. Ferrell for registration links for the other days.
