Looking Ahead: 

3/11: Last day of 3rd nine weeks

Discipline for 8th grade day/8th grade Dance and Field Day for 6th and 7th grade:

As of 3/19/26, students that have 1 day or more of Out of School Suspension or 3 days or more of In School Suspension or 79 or less War Eagle Points will NOT be allowed to attend the 8th grade day/dance or 6th/7th grade Field Day. Additionally, they must have paid off charges to the learning commons and lunchroom in order to participate in the events.

Tips for Families:

Help Your Teen Learn to Memorize Facts More Easily

If your teen has trouble memorizing facts, dates or definitions, share these tips to make it easier:

• Chunk it. Have your teen divide long lists into shorter ones. Instead of trying to memorize all the bones in the body, your teen can memorize the bones in the leg, then the arm. The key is to divide a big list into smaller lists of items that go together.

• Make an acronym. Your teen can find a way to make up a word or abbreviation using the first letter of each word. For example, HOMES is an acronym for the names of the Great Lakes (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior).

• Visualize. Your teen is reading Our Town and can’t remember who wrote it. Your student might picture a thorn for “Thornton” and maybe a thorn in a wild growth of bushes for “Wilder.”

• Make a rhyme. Rhymed facts are easy to recall. One teen remembered that “a lot” was two words with this rhyme: “My writing cred will sure be shot if I forget to split ‘a lot.’”

• Sing it. The sequence of notes in a song can help teens remember the word that comes next. Encourage your teen to try setting facts to songs and see if it helps.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 

Middle School Athletics: Hall County School District Middle School Sporting Events will have an admission price of $5 per ticket. There will be a flat fee of $15 for a family of three or more.

Car Rider Procedures:

In the morning, we will only have 1 line. This will allow our staff to enter the parking lot. Please do not pass the car in line in front of you as students may be exiting on the driver's side. We want all students to arrive safely.  In the afternoon, we will have 2 lines to get traffic off Fran Mar as soon as possible. We will merge in a zipper format in the afternoon at the indicated merge point. Thank you!

Insurance:

The HCSD offers student insurance through the company, Student Assurance Services. This insurance is supplemental to a family’s primary provider and will assist with added costs in certain situations. For more details, please refer to…

Disciplina para Día de 8º grado/Baile y Día de Campo de para 6.º y 7.º grado:

A partir del 19/3/26, los estudiantes con 1 día o más de Suspensión Fuera de Escuela, 3 días o más de Suspensión Dentro de Escuela o 79 o menos Puntos War Eagle no podrán asistir al día/baile de 8º grado ni al Día de Campo de 6º/7º grado. Además, deberán haber pagado las cargos del salón de aprendizaje y el comedor para participar en los eventos.

Consejos para Familias:

Ayude Su Adolescente a Memorizar Datos Con Mayor Facilidad

Si su adolescente tiene problemas para memorizar datos, fechas o definiciones, comparta estos consejos para facilitarle la tarea:

• Divide las listas. Pide a tu adolescente que divida las listas largas en cortas. En lugar de intentar memorizar todos los huesos del cuerpo, puede memorizar primero los de la pierna y luego los del brazo. La clave está en dividir una lista grande en listas más pequeñas de elementos que van juntos.

• Crea un acrónimo. Tu adolescente puede inventar una palabra o abreviatura usando la primera letra de cada palabra. Por ejemplo, HOMES es un acrónimo de los nombres de los Grandes Lagos (Huron, Ontario, Michigan, Erie, Superior).

• Visualiza. Tu adolescente está leyendo Nuestro Pueblo y no recuerda quién lo escribió. Podría imaginarse una espina para "Thornton" (thorn es espina en ingles) y tal vez una espina en un arbusto silvestre para "Wilder" (wild es silvestre en ingle).

• Crea una rima. Datos que riman son fáciles de recordar. 

• Cántala. La secuencia de notas de una canción puede ayudar a los adolescentes a recordar la palabra que sigue. Anima a tu adolescente a intentar relacionar datos con canciones y ver si les ayuda.

Atletismo en Escuelas Intermedias: Los Eventos Deportivos de Escuelas Intermedias del Distrito Escolar del Condado de Hall tendrán un precio de entrada de $5 por boleto. Habrá una tarifa fija de $15 para una familia de tres o más.

Procedimientos para Pasajeros por Carro:

Por la mañana, solo tendremos 1 línea. Esto permitirá que nuestro personal ingrese al estacionamiento. Por favor, no pase el automóvil en línea frente a usted ya que los estudiantes pueden estar saliendo del lado del conductor. Queremos que todos los estudiantes lleguen seguros. Por la tarde dispondremos de 2 líneas para sacar el tráfico de Fran Mar lo antes posible. Vamos a confluir en formato cremallera por la tarde en el punto de fusión indicado. ¡Gracias!
