Our newly designed spaces will support field games; swinging, jumping, climbing; and exploration, imagining and pretending, with a blend of natural spaces and built environments.
To support full use of all areas of our back field, this project will also address long-standing drainage issues.

OUR PROJECT OVERVIEW
This in-house group began meeting in mid-September. Together, this committee is responsible for examining the landscape plans to ensure that the design meets our needs and is within our budget, and for overseeing the building project as it progresses.

Local landscape architects at Brackish helped us engage our all-ages community in the design process and translated our goals and priorities into a design concept.
Oakhill Outdoor, a full-service landscape construction company, will clear the way for the work to come, complete the less obvious but very important drainage work and site modifications, and construct our newly designed spaces.
Our Tag-a-Thon built excitement around our Outdoor Spaces Project, before the first shovel has even hit the ground. On May 22, every class played tag classics, for the fun of it, but also with the option for students to collect pledges in a mini-fundraiser. It offered students a way to invest something of themselves in the project and to anticipate the good things to come.
We are grateful to (teacher) Leigh-Ann for a great concept, and to the larger team of teachers who helped with "game day" logistics.
