My name is Ms. Torres (María Fernanda Torres). I am so happy and honored to be your child’s Spanish teacher this school year. First grade is such an exciting stage in a child’s learning journey, and I feel very fortunate to be part of their growth. In our class, students will not only learn the Spanish language, but also discover new ways of thinking, communicating, and connecting with the world around them.

This year, your children will be exploring Spanish through songs, games, stories, projects, and interactive activities designed to make learning both fun and meaningful. My goal is to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, encouraged, and excited to participate. We will focus on building strong foundations in vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing—always with joy, creativity, and curiosity at the center of our learning.

I believe that every child is unique and capable of achieving great things. Together, we will celebrate successes, learn from challenges, and grow as a classroom family. I encourage open communication with families, as I know that when we work together, children thrive.
