Hello! Welcome to 2nd Grade. I’m Marcelina B. Santos, thrilled to be your child’s 2nd-grade teacher this year. What brings me to this remarkable role?

• With a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and more than 23 purposeful years in the classroom, I’ve nurtured young learners through diverse educational landscapes in the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates.

• My teaching philosophy is rooted in dedication and adaptability—I strive to meet each child where they are, inviting them into a world of discovery, creativity, and joyful learning.

In my classroom, children experience learning through play, inquiry, and meaningful connections. I design lessons that nurture critical thinking, collaboration, and a love for learning—helping students not just absorb facts, but to become curious thinkers and caring friends.

Above all, I believe teaching is a calling—an opportunity to shape not just academic growth, but character. Building strong partnerships with parents and colleagues is central to my approach; together, we create a supportive, thriving community that lifts every child.
