Hello! My name is Jeff Santiago, and I’m proud to be your Art teacher. I come from the Philippines and bring with me over a decade of experience in teaching the arts, with a deep passion for nurturing creativity and self-expression in every student.
My academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from the Technological University of the Philippines, where I laid a strong foundation in both traditional and contemporary art practices. I later earned my Master’s degree in Basic Education from the Ateneo de Manila University, one of the country’s most prestigious institutions, further enriching my pedagogical approach and artistic insight.
As a licensed professional teacher specializing in Arts, I have worked with diverse learners, empowering students to discover and express their unique artistic expressions. My areas of expertise include visual arts and other disciplines I use to help students engage with social themes, history, identity, and community-building through creative expression.
Beyond technique, I believe that art education plays a transformative role in a learner’s development. My classroom is vibrant spaces where imagination is encouraged, individuality is celebrated, and students are challenged to think critically about the world around them. Through my guidance, students not only master essential art skills but also develop confidence, empathy, and a deeper appreciation for the role of the arts in society.
With a heart for education and a soul for the arts, I continue to inspire a new generation of artists, thinkers, and storytellers. I am proud to be part of EMSA's faculty, leading our students into a world of color, meaning, and boundless creative potential.
