I am proud to serve as the Band Director here at William R. Davie. A native of Littleton, NC, I am a product of Halifax County Schools, having attended McIver Elementary, William R. Davie Middle, and Northwest Halifax High School. While at Northwest Halifax, I had the honor of serving as Drum Major for the Ultimate Sound Machine Marching Band from 2013–2015—a role that fueled my passion for leadership and music.
I continued my education at North Carolina A&T State University, where I was awarded a music scholarship through Arts Education in Halifax County. At A&T, I was an active member of the musical community, performing as a tubist in the Brass Choir, Symphonic Band, and the Blue and Gold Marching Machine. In spring 2018, I was initiated into the Alpha Nu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., an organization that continues to inspire me to uphold the highest standards of achievement and service.
My teaching career began in Guilford County Schools and has since included service in Nash County and Halifax County Schools. With more than a decade of experience in music education, I remain passionate about showing students and families that music is more than a class—it is a pathway. I strive to remind the young people in my community that your instrument can take you just as far, or even further, than you ever imagined.
As I join the William R. Davie community, I am committed to providing students with enriching musical experiences, guiding them to discover their talents, and proving that excellence is no accident—it is the result of dedication, discipline, and hard work.
