My name is Mr. Rodel Pendergat, and I’m excited to be your 7th grade Science teacher this year! I’m originally from the beautiful country of the Philippines, and I bring with me more than 10 years of teaching experience in Science, both in elementary and high school settings. I’ve had the opportunity to teach General Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Practical Research over the years.
This is now my 4th year teaching Middle School Science here in the USA, and I feel incredibly grateful to continue sharing my passion for science and learning with students here.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology for Teachers from Philippine Normal University, where I graduated in 2006. I later completed my Master of Science in Teaching, Major in Biology from De La Salle University in 2019.
Teaching is truly my passion. I believe every student has the potential to succeed, and I’m here to help guide, support, and encourage them every step of the way.
When I’m not teaching, I love to listen to music, watch movies, and of course, enjoy delicious food! I also love traveling, learning about new cultures, and exploring different places.
A little about my background: I grew up in a humble family and am proud to be a product of public schools. Even though life wasn’t always easy, I didn’t let poverty hold me back—and I want the same for all of my students. I believe that with hard work, determination, and support, anything is possible.
I’m really looking forward to a great year of learning and discovery with you all. Let’s make it an exciting and successful school year together!
