I am Ms. Pays—yes, it is pronounced like pies! I come from the Philippines, and for the past 10 years, I have had the incredible privilege of teaching English Language Arts to both high school and middle school students.

Teaching, for me, has always been more than a profession; it is a calling. My heart beats for storytelling, for sparking curiosity, and for helping every student discover that their voice is powerful, unique, and worth sharing with the world.

That is why I am beyond thrilled to begin this school year with all of you here at William R. Davie Middle STEM Academy! Together, we will delve into stories that challenge us, engage in discussions that inspire us, and undertake projects that let your creativity shine.

This year, let us make our classroom a place of transformation where learning is exciting, laughter is plentiful, and every day brings a new discovery.
