Hello and welcome! My name is Mrs. Paclauna, and I am thrilled to be your 5th grade teacher this school year. I am originally from the Philippines, and teaching has been my passion for as long as I can remember. This year marks my 4th year with Halifax County Schools, and I truly feel blessed to be part of such a wonderful community of learners, families, and educators.

Fifth grade is such an exciting time in your educational journey. This year, you will not only strengthen your skills in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, but you will also grow as independent thinkers, problem solvers, and kind, responsible classmates. My goal is to create a classroom where you feel valued, respected, and encouraged to be the best version of yourself every single day.

I believe that learning is a team effort. That means we will work together, support one another, and celebrate our progress—big or small—along the way. We will explore new ideas, take on challenges with a positive attitude, and find joy in discovering the world around us. I promise to guide you, challenge you, and cheer you on every step of the way.
