First, I  would like to welcome you to a prosperous and exciting new school year! As we embark on this new school year we would like to introduce you and  your child to myself as well as share some of our classroom rules and policies. Please take the time to review this welcome packet as it contains important classroom rules and policies that you will need to be aware of. 

My name is Demetrius Green and I will be your child's 2nd grade teacher. This will be my 17th year of teaching and my 16th  year at Pittman Elementary. I received my B.S. in Elementary  Education from Claflin University and my Masters from Grand Canyon University. I am currently working on my PhD. in Education at NorthCentral University. I believe that education is a life-long process that continues throughout life. As a member of your child's instructional team, I am excited to have the opportunity to continue to  teach your child the foundational skills that they will need to be successful in school and life. I look forward to seeing all the academic growth your child will make this school year and I look forward to working with you this school year.
