About Me

It is my privilege to continue my journey at William R. Davie Middle STEM Academy, where I am now in my third year of teaching. My path as an educator has taken me across countries and cultures, with 27 years of rich teaching experience in India and the Maldives before joining this wonderful school community. Each step along the way has strengthened my love for teaching and deepened my belief that education has the power to transform lives.

I hold a Master’s degree in English Literature as well as dual Bachelor’s degrees in Education and Special Education. This academic background, combined with my years of classroom experience, allows me to support students not only in achieving academic success but also in developing confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love for learning.

Beyond my professional life, family is at the heart of who I am. In 2021, I faced the heartbreaking loss of my husband to Covid, a moment that forever shaped my outlook on life. I find strength and joy through my daughter, who is married and currently building her life with her husband in Melbourne, Australia. Their love and encouragement inspire me to keep giving my very best to my students every single day.

For me, teaching is not just a profession—it is my life’s calling. I see every classroom as a place of possibility, where students can grow academically, discover their unique talents, and develop character that will guide them well beyond school walls. Watching students progress, overcome challenges, and become the best versions of themselves is the greatest reward of all.
