Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

What a year it has been! You have worked so hard, grown so much, and made this classroom a truly special place. Now it is time to rest, recharge, and soak up all that summer has to offer — you have earned it!

 As we head into these bright summer months, I want to encourage every student to keep their minds sharp and their hearts curious. Learning does not stop when school lets out — it just looks a little different with sunshine and flip-flops! Here are a few important reminders to carry with you all summer long:

• Complete a little bit of your summer packet each day. Small steps every day add up to big gains by August!

• Read something you love for at least 30 minutes every day — chapter books, graphic novels, magazines, anything goes!

• Practice multiplication facts and a few fractions.

• Spend time outdoors, try something new, and enjoy being a kid. Curiosity and play are learning, too! 

• Get good sleep, drink water, eat well, and be kind to yourself and others all summer long. 

Parents and guardians, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your partnership this year. Your support at home makes all the difference in the world. Please encourage your child to work on their summer packet consistently — even 15–20 minutes a day goes a long way toward starting the new school year strong and confident.

I am so proud of every single one of my students. You are brilliant, brave, and capable of amazing things. Enjoy your summer, stay safe, and I will see you back in the building ready to take on a brand-new year!
