Welcome!
My name is Mrs. Boone, and I’m excited to be your social studies teacher this year. I graduated from the University of Maryland and have been teaching for 20+ years. I’m passionate about helping students explore history, geography, civics, and cultures to better understand the world we live in today. In my classroom, we don’t just learn about the past, we connect it to current events and our everyday lives, encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful discussion.

I believe every student has a voice and a story worth sharing, and I strive to create a welcoming environment where questions are valued, ideas are respected, and learning is engaging. My goal is for students to leave my class not only with a stronger knowledge of history and society, but also with the skills to think critically, work collaboratively, and become active, informed citizens.

When I’m not teaching, I enjoy all things Disney, like reading historical fiction, traveling, or cheering on the Baltimore Ravens. I’m looking forward to an exciting year of discovery and learning together!
