My name is Ms. Arianne Amican. I am originally from the Philippines and moved to the United States to pursue my passion for teaching. This is my fourth year at Halifax County Schools, and I truly enjoy working with and supporting my students.

Teaching is more than just a profession for me; it truly comes from the heart. I am passionate about nurturing young minds while empowering students with diverse learning needs. Drawing from my multicultural background, I strive to create a culturally responsive and supportive classroom environment. I also integrate evidence-based practices and adaptive technologies to make learning engaging and meaningful for every child.

My commitment is to maintain high expectations while working closely with families so that together, we can help each child learn, grow, and become the best version of themselves. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year filled with growth, discovery, and success!

Hello, I am Phyllis Whitaker. I am the mother of two sons. I reside in Enfield, NC. My passion is children. I love working with them, teaching them to learn different things while learning from them different things myself. I have been in education for 26 years, while driving the school bus for 38 years. I have worked in first grade, PreK, and currently in a Separate Setting.
